What makes a house a home? It is the laughter shared around the table, birthdays celebrated with friends, meaningful conversations, and the comfort of knowing you belong.
At L’Arche Sudbury, Bethany House is more than a home for the people who live there. It is also a gathering place where our community comes together for birthday celebrations, meetings, training sessions, and other special occasions. It is a space filled with connection, friendship, and shared memories.
Help Renew a Place That Brings Us Together
The main-floor flooring at Bethany House has deteriorated over time. Gaps and uneven areas have created tripping hazards and safety concerns. Everyday use, including the movement of wheelchairs and walkers, has contributed to the wear and tear.
We want to renew this important space so it can continue to be a welcoming place to live, gather, celebrate, and belong.
Our Fundraising goal: $19,000 for Bethany House Flooring
We are raising $19,000 to replace the main-floor flooring at Bethany House, with the work planned for spring 2027.
The original contractor quote, dated April 6, 2026, was $14,717.50 before tax. Our fundraising goal accounts for anticipated price changes, applicable HST, and a contingency for unexpected costs. We will confirm the final cost with an updated quote.
