Heather is a Registered Kinesiologist, with extensive clinical experience in chronic disease management and geriatric rehabilitation. She has held various leadership roles in healthcare and academia and brings a wealth of systems wide performance planning, integrated service delivery, and data-driven quality improvement expertise.
With a passion for contributing to the education and continuing professional development of health care professionals, Heather develops and delivers formal and informal educational programming to promote the ability of learners to think critically, appraise evidence and apply knowledge in practice.
Heather first joined the Board of Directors in 2013 when she moved to Sudbury with her husband and two young boys. What she didn’t realize then was that L’Arche would draw her in, offer her a deep sense of community, and give back to her family in ways she never imagined.
L’Arche Sudbury community members can always make Heather smile, inspire her to be resilient. and provide her with the daily motivation required to advocate for resources that support the equity, diversity, and inclusivity needs of all Northern Ontario residents.
