About the National AccessAbility Week

National AccessAbility Week is a time to reflect on efforts to create a more inclusive society. It is a celebration that promotes accessibility, recognizes the contributions of people with disabilities, and highlights the importance of removing barriers.

The event is organized by Independent Living Sudbury Manitoulin, which began celebrating the Week in May 2022. In 2024, more than 20 local charities joined the celebration, demonstrating the growing commitment to inclusion in our community.
