New Project Announcement: The Art of Aging – Light & Shadows
L’Arche Sudbury is thrilled to introduce The Art of Aging: Light & Shadows, a collaborative project with Myths & Mirrors Community Arts, designed to bring together elders and older adults from across Greater Sudbury. This 7-week art program will launch on Thursday, October 17th, and is an exciting opportunity for participants to explore and share their experiences of aging through various art forms.
Project Description:
L’Arche Sudbury has a rich history woven together with stories of relationship and journeying with our senior members. Now, in collaboration with Myths and Mirrors Community Arts and a diverse group of community artists, we are inviting elders and older adults to join us on this creative journey!
The Art of Aging: Light & Shadows will connect Sudbury’s senior communities, offering a safe and inclusive space for participants to share their unique perspectives on the aging experience. Through 7 weekly workshops, participants will engage in story sharing and creative expression using a variety of artistic mediums. Every voice will be heard, supported, and transformed into a public art presentation that will be shared and celebrated with the wider community.
This is a wonderful opportunity for older adults to express themselves, connect with others, and contribute to a meaningful community project.
