Then in 2003 I became principal of that same school and retired from that position in 2010 after 7 wonderful years there. Talk about full circle!

• Truly believe in servant leadership, and always strove to exemplify that in my role as a Catholic leader both in schools and parishes.

• I have known about L'Arche for years, especially as a result of their presence at my parish for worship. I was drawn to L'Arche several years ago because of my cousin Trudy. She was living at Rideau Regional Centre and the centre was being disbanded. Since she was originally from this area, and her family all now lived in the USA, we thought it would be good if she found a place here in Sudbury, close to other relatives, aunts, uncles, cousins. By the grace of God, she found a home at Bethany House, here in Sudbury, and the rest is history!
